WELL...I SPOKE TOO SOON

Wednesday, August 25, 2010

I just received notification from unemployment that my former employer filed an appeal to my case. I am disgusted & appalled. I guess they feel they haven't put me through enough already.

It's okay though, because I haven't done anything wrong & I have proof. If they want me to fight, I'll fight. And I'm going to do it with a smile.

 slap 'em with a smile

I'm going to do it with a smile eventually, but I am really pissed off right now!!!

Jenn,

You have a right to be upset. You know me... I'm all for a positive attitude. However, it's also a good idea to allow yourself to feel what you need to feel so you can get through it without burying emotions that can come back to bite you later. So, give yourself permission to be angry and work through it. Then you can smile while you fight for your rights. :)

Thank you Jeanne!

That is the exact advice my best friend just gave me, and exactly what I needed to hear (twice!).

It has been a very rough day. And I do have the right to be upset! I just can't let it consume me...
I need to take a walk.

Thanks for your support!

Jenn,

Sometimes it helps to hear things twice. ;)

Hope the walk helped. Hang in there!

And sometimes it helps to hear things three (or four or five) times. haha

I'm hanging in here. Thank you! I think the odds are with me.

Take care!

I am angry for you, it really sucks beyond words what you're having to deal with.

I second everything that Jeanne said as well.. take the time to feel everything so you can then approach the situation having allowed yourself enough time to deal with the emotional fallout!

Fingers crossed for you x

thank you Amanda and Jeanne!

I got my response to their appeal in the mail. It seems they really don't have a good case. They were even dishonest in their appeal, and I can basically prove it (using their own letter!).

your support is very appreciated!
